We were very excited to eat at the Fisherman's Inn Restaurant and were completely disappointed and almost angry as we left. We debated leaving and going somewhere else, but it was too late (everything shuts down around 8, and we needed food.) It took us half an hour to get our drinks - water and iced tea - and over an hour to get our chowder - which is already made and sits in a pot, waiting to be served. When the food did finally come, we were elated and would have actually eaten anything at that point, after waiting an HOUR AND A HALF for our entire meal. We tried to flag down a couple of waitresses in all of the downtime, but they seemed more interested in just standing around in the kitchen area. Even after making eye-contact, heavy eye-contact, with an older woman who seemed to be the owner, or maybe manager, she didn't come over once. Then, after the check arrived, our waitress (Kristen, maybe?) stood in the kitchen chatting with the other waitresses about us. I watched her talk about us, and as soon as she saw me looking, she moved the fastest she ever did as she jumped back. At Fisherman's Inn Restaurant all they care about is the total on the bill and their tip - which, based on the service received, she shouldn't have received one at all. Save your money and your precious time! We will NEVER come back, and will not recommend anyone go here.

Great restaurant. The service couldn't get any better, and their foccacia bread is awesome! I asked and they make it fresh from scratch daily. It's a bit pricey, but nothing too eye popping. And while it's a bit slow, I find that I like it better that way. I get more time to share a few drinks and chat with friends before everyone becomes engulfed with food. And everything tastes so good as well, I highly recommend the Lobster Pie, it's my personal favorite. If you're passing through Winter Harbor for dinner, this is the place to go

My husband and I stopped for lobster rolls. They served them from a lunch wagon. We asked for butter versus mayonnaise. They made them that way for us and they were delicious with plenty of sweet tender lobster. We had a great view sitting outside. The blueberry pie tasted homemade. Nice and casual lunch stop.

If you love everything on your plate DRENCHED in butter you'll love this place. Focaccia bread is quite good, however atmosphere is old and stale and everything is just dripping in butter. Probably a place past it's prime and need upgrades in the kitchen and dining area.

Awesome chowder, cozy atmosphere, and friendly wait staff. I had the pan seared Ahi Tuna and it was melt in your mouth excellent.

We ate here our first night in Maine and were very, very pleased with our experience here. I really enjoyed the atmosphere - it reminded me of some of my childhood favorite restaurants- lots of wood. The service was very good. They start you off with crudite with salmon spread and cheese dip. Then comes foccacia bread with a pesto/garlic/olive oil/red pepper mixture (mixed at the table) to top it with. All very yummy. Our dinner salads consisted of nice greens and the ranch dressing was made from scratch and very well done. The entrees were also very good - I had broiled haddock and my husband had lobster. The restaurant was full on a Monday night and we were glad we had made reservations ahead of time.

We have eaten here every year, but this will be our last. Prices seemed to go up and the food was simply OK. $85 for 1 soup, 1 glass of wine, 2 entrees, and one dessert is a high for the area, unless it is excellent - which it wasn't.
